How Ukrainian Flavors Baked Paska for Your Easter

Easter is one of the most cherished holidays in Ukraine, and it holds a special place in our hearts here at Ukrainian Flavors. This year, we were incredibly honored to be part of your Easter celebration in the United States — bringing a taste of home to your family tables.

We prepared a wide variety of traditional Paska breads, each made with love and care. Our recipe followed Ukrainian tradition, but with a little California touch — a hint of citrus zest for a bright, fresh aroma. We offered two styles: the classic glazed Paska with colorful sprinkles and the braided babka-style Paska without glaze. Everyone could find the one that felt just right.

From Our Oven to Your Home

The process started with a full day of baking, giving each loaf time to rise, bake, and cool properly. The next day was all about careful packing and shipping — making sure every Paska arrived safely, no matter how far it had to travel.

We’re proud to share that our Paskas made their way to homes from California and Arizona to Texas, Florida, New York, and New Jersey. We recommended Priority Mail shipping to help ensure on-time delivery, especially for customers far from California.

Local Deliveries and Festive Tables

For our local community, we hand-delivered Paskas along with favorite Ukrainian dishes like frozen varenyky, stuffed cabbage rolls, and crepes with sweet or savory fillings.

We drove across Ventura County, into Los Angeles, and surrounding towns like Glendale, Pasadena, and Santa Monica. Our Paskas were blessed in Orthodox churches, shared in family meals in Malibu and Hollywood, and brought tradition to tables across the region.

Pick-Up and Last-Minute Joy

Some of you chose to pick up your Paska directly from our kitchen in Camarillo — especially those who live nearby or missed the pre-order deadline. We coordinated convenient pickup times and even kept a few extra loaves for last-minute orders.

We baked and worked until the evening on Holy Saturday, just so your Paska could make it to your Easter table in time — even if it meant baking one more batch late into the night. And we’re so glad we did.

A Note from Tetiana, co-founder of Ukrainian Flavors 💛

"Preparing Paska is a long and meaningful process. But it brings me so much joy to know that, even thousands of miles away from home, we can preserve the traditions that shaped us.

Every Paska we bake carries memories — of my grandmother’s wood-fired oven, of the long days we spent preparing, and the joy of giving each child and grandchild their own loaf.

That tradition — her mission — is now mine, and I carry it with pride here in California.

I truly hope that our Paska brought warmth, comfort, and the feeling of home to your families this Easter. Thank you for letting us be part of your celebration."
